With 2012 just 2 days away, the world is probably divided into those who are counting down to the much talked about end of the world on the 21st of December 2012, and the rest of us who either don’t believe it or don’t care for it. Ingredients: Squid Ink Dough, Special Black Pepper Sauce, Squid Rings, Mozzarella, Red Chilli & Coriander.
Verdict: Very well done squid rings with an incredibly chewy dough. The flavors were adequate but would give more of a punch if the special black pepper sauce which smells divine, tasted like what it delivered to our noses.
Ingredients: Marsala Curry Sauce, Curry Chicken Cubes, Mozzarella,Fresh Yogurt, Red Chilli, Coriander.
Verdict: The dough is an instant hit, light, chewy and incredibly aromatic. The combination of Marsala curry sauce, curry chicken and yogurt was interesting and made for a winning combination. Could use more coriander for a flavor balance and less red chilli.
Ingredients: Special Miso Mayo Sauce, Caramelized Onion, OSavory’s BBQ Fish Bak Kwa, Sweet Pineapple, Mozzarella.
Verdict: An exceedingly innovative combination but definitely an acquired taste. The caramelized onion is an ingenious touch while the pineapples gave a new texture that complements the experience. Downside was the lack of presence from the miso mayo sauce and the humongous pieces of fish bak kwa that made the overall taste too sweet.
