Okay, time for another long overdue post that may or may not interest you. May not even be why you’re on this site, given all the lewd search words that direct to this site. BUT. Since you’re here, might as well get something out of it. Good clean TV, how comforting. Except, our taste might not necessarily agree with yours, or even be comforting in any way. Depends on how you erm…swing. Here’s the top 3 shows I’ve been watching. Like I said. Overdue-ed.
Emily’s Top Three GIRLY SHOWS TO WATCH
…MAYBE NOT SO MUCH OF THE LAST ONE…
[Name of show] Jane By Design
Devil Meets Prada meets teen drama. If you love fashion, this is one show you have to watch. Not only are the clothes, hair and makeup gorgeous, it’s a dream come true for anyone who has a secret craving to be in the fashion life but never made it. Jane Quimby made me fall in love with full, puffy skirts and Billy Nutter had me fall in love with well, his cuteness and super sweet loyalty.
Jane By Design is about high school student, Jane Quimby. She applies for an internship at Donovan Decker, an illustrious fashion house, and is mistakenly given the position of personal assistant to world famous designer, Gray, who also happens to be the incarnate of Miranda Priestly. Throughout the rest of the season, marvel at the amazing fashion, gawk at Jane’s perpetually dazed/startled expressions and shake your head in disbelief as she somehow always manages to scrap through.

One of the best shows for Asian girls to learn about beauty, fitness, diet, lifestyle, tips, tricks and the latest products in the industry. Everything that has ever been featured on this show has sky rocketed in popularity. I love how the content is always kept updated, relevant and that they always show live demos on real people. It’s the Asian beauty bible of shows. You have to have a certain amount of success to have a show, magazine and beauty line, don’t you?
Taiwanese Variety Show for Ladies, with topics ranging from Fashion to Makeup and other healthcare topics concerning women.
2012 Spring/Summer Hair and Fashion Trends
I promised Claris I would lay off the animes for a while but I had to mention this one. It still amazes me that she expresses surprise when I talk to her about animes with a zombie byline. I can discuss five shows with her in detail and when I mention the sixth, she would seem astounded that zombie themed animes existed. That’s what happens to my BFF when she just isn’t interested. Her ears shut down. -sighs- Anyway, Sankarea is a newly released anime in the batch of shows released for Spring. It’s very simple, a boy who is obsessed about zombies and is attempting to create one meets a girl with a heck of a weird father who wants to die and asks boy to turn her if he succeeds. It isn’t a spoiler for me to say this but, he succeeds.
Chihiro Furuya, is a male high school student with a keen interest in zombies, collecting zombie-related videogames, film and manga, and even to the point of desiring to “kiss a zombie girl”. Following the death of his pet cat, Babu, he attempts to revive it using an old manuscript, which describes the process of creating a potion for resurrection. In an attempt to commit suicide, Rea Sanka drinks a sample of the “resurrection” potion, however this fails to kill her. She falls from a cliff by accident and dies; however as a result of the potion, she returns as a zombie. (Excerpts from here.)
